Field Service Consultant
- Located in industrial hub - Melbourne's West
- Circa $75k base + super + bonus + benefits (Negotiable salary based on experience)
- Full time permanent position working with a friendly, professional team in modern offices
Due to the nature of this role the following two items are MUST HAVE's:
knowledge and understanding of pumps and/or plumbing equipment, and
extremely clear and proficient in English language (significant phone interactions with customers)
About the role
Due to ongoing growth of the business, an opportunity now exists to join a well-established, and successful family owned business. Industry experience in plumbing products, pumps, or a related industry is a pre-requisite for the role.
You are a seasoned professional who is self-motivated with well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
The key focus of this role is to coordinate, monitor and improve on-road service activities providing support and guidance to field service personnel who are responsible for the installation, Commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of pumps and pumping equipment.

The primary activities in this role are;
Liaison with customers, suppliers, and field service technicians to coordinate service delivery to clients
Scheduling preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs, and emergency calls while prioritizing the daily workload of self and others
Responsible for submitting quotations, ordering parts and expediting orders required for the field service technicians to undertake their roles effectively.
General administration including; answering phones, filing, data entry, procurement, creating spreadsheets and data reports for management.
Establishing and maintaining a positive rapport with customers
Collaborate with the field service technicians to drive revenue growth by verifying and collecting work requests as well as identifying revenue generating opportunities.
Respond to all incoming enquiries from a multi-client portfolio
Ensuring maintenance activities are coordinated into a logical work order.
Required Skills and Expertise
This is a fast paced and challenging role, in order to be successful you will: -
Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a pumps / plumbing technical environment.
Have highly proficient communication skills - both oral and written
Have a clear & respectful phone manner that builds relationships
Demonstrate judgement and ability to plan and accomplish work goals
Possess strong problem-solving skills
Have practical experience in an office environment providing professional and efficient customer service and support;
Have excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and other contemporary software applications including previous experience in accounts and invoicing
The ability to work between 7am - 5pm.
Have proven ability to coordinate and direct the work of others
Have a demonstrated proficiency in organisational and time management skills;
Be positive and have an outward going approach to others and the ability to contribute to creating a positive team environment;
Have a commitment to compliance of Occupation Health and Safety requirements.
